This demonstration will allow you to visually see what happens when we dilate an image about the center of dilation. Move the scale around and observe the relationships between the scale factor and the length of the sides of the triangles as well as the distances between the triangles and the center of dilation
1.How would you find the scale factor given an original object and its image? 2. Can you use the coordinates of the original object to find the new coordinates of the image given a scale factor? 3. Do you notice anything about the areas of the triangles with regards to the scale factor?
