UCSS Math I 5.1.3 Example 1

Given a regular pentagon [math]ABCDE[/math], draw the lines of symmetry.

[list=1] [*]First, draw the pentagon and label the vertices. [*]Extend a line from vertex [math]A[/math] to the midpoint of the opposite side. [*]Now move to the next vertex, [math]B[/math], and extend a line to the midpoint of the opposite side. [*]Continue around to each vertex, extending a line from the vertex to the midpoint of the opposing line segment. [/list] [i]Note[/i]: Move points [math]C[/math] and [math]D[/math] to change the size and orientation of the pentagon.
