In the CAS-window we can calculate the barycentric coordinates of a random point P berekenen relatively to the verticles of a triangle ABC.[br]Signs and size of the coordinate numbers provide informatie on thee position of P. Drag P and examine how the lines AB, BC and AC determine sign and size.
The position relative to BC defines the 1st coordinate number of P.[br]- Is P on the same side of the line as A, then [math]\lambda_1[/math] > 0.[br]- Is P on the line BC, then [math]\lambda_1[/math] = 0.[br]- Is P on the other side of the line as A, then [math]\lambda_1[/math] < 0.[br]In the same way AC defines the 2nd coordinate number of P and AB the 3rd.
