The Triangle Inequality Activity

In this application you are looking at the lengths of the sides of a triangle. You are trying to see if there is a relationship between the lengths of the sides and to see if there is a limside lit to the lengths of the sides[br][br]1. Adjust the side lengths of AB and AC[br] Compare AB to AC + CB[br] Compare AC to AB +CB[br] Compare CB to AB + AC[br]2. What can you say about the length of the side of a triangle[br]3. Adjust the side lengths so that AB is the same length or longer than AC[br]4. Move C so that BC is the absolute longest it could be.[br] Compare the length of CB to AB +AC[br]5. Move C so that BC is the absolute shortest it could be.[br] Compare the length of CB to AB - AC[br]6. What is the absolute longest a side of a triangle can be? What is the absolute shortest?
