The solution of a [i][b]quadratic equation[/b][/i] is a pair of number - let's call them a and b [br][assume a smaller than or equal to b]. [br][br]The solution of a [i][b]quadratic inequality[/b][/i] is EITHER all the numbers between a and b, OR [br]all the numbers less than a AND all the numbers greater than b.[br][br]We use the word [i][b]solve[/b][/i] to describe finding a solution set given an equation.[br]We use the word [i][b]UNsolve[/b][/i] to describe find an equation that has a given solution set.[br][br]To [i][b]UNsolve[/b][/i] a quadratic equation or inequality, drag the GOLD dots in this left panel to fix the solution set.
