We will first construct boxes with dimensions [math]a_n \times a_n[/math] for the first couple of terms of our sequence. [br]Begin by drawing a 1×1 square using the polygon tool. [br] Adjacent to this square, draw another 1×1. [br]Adjacent to these two draw a 2×2. [br]Next draw a 3×3, and continue while spiraling outwards. [br]Now use the circular arc tool to draw an arc beginning with your first square adjusting the radius to match the length of the squares as you rotate around the image.
This is an example of when pencil and graph paper may be a better option that the applet. It is one of only a few applets which I have made that gives students access to the toolbar.
