Use the given transformation matrix to transform the vector . Graph both and the transformed vector with their initial points at the origin, and then find the determinant of the transformation matrix to determine what type of transformation this represents.
- Write the given vector as a column vector.
- Multiply the corresponding column vector by the given matrix on the left.
- Graph both and the transformed vector with their initial points at the origin.
- Find the determinant of the transformation matrix, and use the result to determine what type of matrix it is.
