Maximizing the cross-sectional area of a rain gutter

Geogebra applet for Lab 4, MTH 201 sections 03 and 07, Fall 2013 at Grand Valley State University.

A rain gutter is being made out of a sheet of metal that is 30 inches wide. The gutter is constructed by laying it flat, marking off points every 10 inches, and then bending the left and right sides up by an angle of [math]\theta[/math] (with [math]0 \leq \theta \leq \pi/2[/math]). Drag the slider for [math]\theta[/math] to see how the cross-sectional area of the rain gutter changes. What value of [math]\theta[/math] makes this cross-sectional area a maximum?
