Chord & Arc Properties

Investigation #1
1. Change the length of the chords in the circle so that the chords are congruent. [br]2. Connect each endpoint of each chord to the center of the circle. (use the segment button!)[br]3. Measure both central angles created, and compare.[br]4. What can we conclude from this (about the central angles and the intercepted arcs?)
Investigation #2
1. Move the endpoints of the two chords in the circle below so that the chords are congruent. [br]2. Then measure each perpendicular segment from the chord to the center. (use the distance button!)[br]3. What can we conclude?
Investigation #3
1. Place a point at the intersection of the chord and the line drawn from the center. (use the intersect button!)[br]2. Measure the angle formed by the chord and the line drawn from the center.[br]3. Measure the length of the two pieces that the chord is broken up into. (use the distance button!)[br]4. What can we conclude?
