Solving One-Step Equations: Multiplication

Objective: Solve an equation.[br]Transform to solution equation with inverse operation. [br]Inverse of Multipicaton is Division; Inverse of Division is Multiplication.[br]Transform until equation is solved: it has the form x = k where k is some number.
Geogebra can transform an equation from a previous line[br]To work on the equation in line 1, refer to it as #1[br]you can add 4 to both sides of the line 1 equation by typing #1+4 in line 2[br]you can subtract 3 from both sides of the line 1 equation by typing #1-3 in line 2[br]you can multiply both sides of the line 1 equation by 5 by typing #1*5[br]you can divide both sides of the line 1 equation by 7 by typing #1/7[br][br]Method: HOW TO DO IT[br]Wait for Geogebra web app to load and give you an equation.[br]Click in line 2, type #1, decide on an inverse transformation, type it, then ENTER.[br]Line 2 should show the solution equation, or you might have to continue to line 3[br]Record your equation work by taking a screenshot and pasting it into the Google Doc[br]Click refresh (circle in upper right) to get a new equation.[br][br]IF YOU MESS UP[br]If Line 2 is NOT SIMPLER than Line 1, then click the button under the 2 and DELETE Line 2 with a right-click[br]
