Drawing Straight Line Graphs

We will look at plotting various straight line graphs in the applets below.
1) y = x + 1
a) For the graph of y = x + 1 where -5 ≤ x ≤ 5
List all of the coordinates on this line with integer (whole number) x values[br][br]e.g. (0,1)
b) Draw the graph of y = x+1 for -5 ≤ x ≤ 5
2) y = 2x + 1
a) For the graph of y = 2x + 1 where -4 ≤ x ≤ 2
List all of the coordinates on this line with integer (whole number) x values[br][br]e.g. (0,1)
b) Draw the graph of y = 2x+1 for -4 ≤ x ≤ 2
3) y = -2x + 1
a) For the graph of y = -2x + 1 where -3 ≤ x ≤ 4
List all of the coordinates on this line with integer (whole number) x values[br][br]e.g. (0,1)
b) Draw the graph of y = -2x + 1 for -3 ≤ x ≤ 4
4) y = -x - 1
a) For the graph of y = -x - 1 where -5 ≤ x ≤ 5
List all of the coordinates on this line with integer (whole number) x values[br][br]e.g. (0,1)
b) Draw the graph of y = -x - 1 for -5 ≤ x ≤ 5
5) y = x + 2 and y = 2x - 2
a) Plot the graphs of y = x + 2 and y = 2x - 2. Label each line.
b) Can you see any values where x + 2 = 2x - 2? If so, where?
