Bukhara has got a ritch an varied historical patrimonium, dating from 10th to early 20th centrury.[br]On the 16th century monuments of the Po-i-Kalon complex in the historical centre you can find a broad range of geometrical patterns. For muqarnas you have to visit the 17th century Abdul Aziz madrassa or the court mosque of the Ark Fortress. The wooden iwan of the Bolo Hauz mosque, opposite to the fortess, even dates from early 20th century.[br]Only a few buildings have a history going back to the time before the use of glazed tiles as decoration. The oldest part of the Magok-iAtari mosque dates from the 12th century. The Samani mausoleum, west from the centre, only rediscovered in 1930, dates from the 10th century.
