Kala - Corresponding Angles

In this workbook we will investigate the relationship between angles that are formed when a line intersects with two parallel lines. [br][br]For each task below, use the applets to help you answer the corresponding questions.
PART 1
In the applet below: The two lines are parallel. Move the points on the lines to investigate what it means for two lines to be parallel, and then answer the questions that follow.
In your own words, describe what we mean by parallel lines?
PART 2
In the applet below: Two parallel lines are intersected by a third line (known as a transversal line). Some angles are therefore formed. Use the applet to investigate these angles.
What do you notice about the blue angles?
What do you notice about the orange angles?
The pair of blue and orange angles are what we call corresponding angles.[br]Corresponding angles are always equal.[br]The green angle is not corresponding with the blue angles. Although they are equal, they lie on different sides of the intersecting line.
In your own words, describe what it means for two angles to be corresponding.
PART 3
Consider the below diagram.
Which of the following three pairs of angles are all corresponding angles?
PART 4
For each diagram, decide whether the angles are corresponding angles or not.
Select all diagrams in the above applet which show equal, corresponding angles
PART 5
Consider the diagram below:
Which angle is corresponding to angle b?
Which angle is corresponding to angle h?
Which angle is corresponding to angle f?
Which angle is corresponding to angle a?
PART 6
Consider the diagram below:
Which angle is corresponding to a?
Which angle is corresponding to c?
Which angle is corresponding to b?
Which angle is vertically opposite to d?
Which angles are equal to a?
Which angles are equal to d?
PART 7
Consider the three diagrams below:
Which of the above diagram shows angles which are equal to each other?
