Witch of Agnesi - A Classical Construction

Classical construction of the Witch of Agnesi as locus.[br][br]This curve's name is attributed to Maria Agnesi, an Italian mathematician that described it into her book Istituzioni analitiche ad uso della gioventù italiana, written in 1748, that has been the first mathematics textbook ever written by a woman.[br][br]The Italian name "Versiera di Agnesi" is based on versoria (sheet of sailing ships) and the sinus versus trig identity. [br]This was mistakenly read by the translator John Colson as l’avversiera di Agnesi, where avversiera is translated as "woman who is against God" and interpreted as "witch".[br][br]
