2.2: Follow Me

Lesson 2: Constructing Patterns
Follow the instructions precisely to recreate the pattern. Here is point A and point B on the line segment  (see GeoGebra Applet). [br][br]Use the digital straightedge and compass moves to create a perpendicular bisector given line segment A and B: [br][br]1.         Create a circle centered at A with radius AB. [br][br]2.         Create a circle centered at B with radius BA. [br][br]3.         Circle A intersects Circle B in two points, one at the top and one at the bottom.  Label the top intersection as point C and the bottom intersection as point D.   [br][br]4.         Using a different colored text, create a line through C and D extending in both directions.  [br][br]5.         Don't forget to take a picture and upload to Kami. Good luck.
