Both muqarnas are using the same basic tiling of squares and rhombuses around a half 8-pointed star. But the realisation is different.[br][list][*]The tiling doesn't fit with the edges so additional tiles are needed. The solution in Sivas differs from the one in Malatya.[/*][*]In Sivas the lines marking the layers always follow the edges of the squares.[br]In Malatya the red line defnine combinations of large bipeds and jugs.[/*][*]In both muqarnas we can find the combination of small bipeds and almonds, but the alternation is different.[/*][/list]
