9.1 Translations & Congruence
A [b]translation[/b] is a transformation that slides a figure [u]along a straight line[/u] from the [b]preimage[/b] (input) to the [b]image[/b] (output).
TASK 1: Move the red dot to see how the triangle moves left and right. Move the black dot to see how the triangle moves up and down.

Begin by selecting [b]point [i]A, B[/i], or [i]C [/i][/b](blue) and moving it's location. Observe what happens to the side lengths and angles.[br]2. Move [b]points [i]A, B[/i], or [i]C[/i][/b] until you have a new polygon shape where you can read all the angle measures and side lengths. (You will not be able to move [b]point D[/b]).[br]3. Record all the angle measures and side lengths in your notebook.[br]4. Answer the questions in your notebook before moving on to the next task.
