In this activity, you will learn about lines and their equations. In particular, you will discover the graphic interpretation of the [b]slope[/b] of a line and its [b]intercept[/b]. The slope of a line gives you an impression of how steep or how flat a line is. The intercept is the y-coordinate of the intersection point of the line with the y-axis.[br][br]Try to work through these three items in order to get familiar with the concept of slope and intercept of a line.
In the next item , you will have to work with a line which passes through the origin. Its equation is hence given by:[br][math]f\left(x\right)=mx[/math][br][br]Try to adjust the value for m, so that the line passes through the target point.
Given two points [math]A\left(x_A;y_A\right)[/math] and [math]B\left(x_B;y_B\right)[/math], how do you compute the slope [math]m[/math] of the line passing through these points?
