Investigate how the points "fit" the equation of the line.
Write in your notebooks.[br][br]You will see the equation for the line at the bottom right of the graph.[br]1. Use the slider at the top left to set the value of c at 4. [br]2. Calculate the slope of the line.[br]3. Record the values of equation for this line , slope, c and m for each of the values.[br]4. Change the value of c to 3, 1, -1, -3 and -4. Repeat steps 2 and 3.[br]5. Change the value to 0. Repeat steps 2 and 3.[br][br]Record all the values in a table like this:[br]Equation of line Slope Value of c Value of m [br][br]Answer the questions:[br]a. What relationship do you see between m values and the equation of the line?[br]b, What relationship do you see between c values and the equation of the line?[br]c. What can you say about the values m and c?
