Save a file
You can save a [i]Notes[/i] file online on your [i]GeoGebra[/i] profile by opening the [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/c/c8/Baseline-menu-24px.svg/24px-Baseline-menu-24px.svg.png[/img] [i]Menu[/i] and selecting [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/b/bb/Ic_save_black.svg/24px-Ic_save_black.svg.png[/img] [i]Save[/i].[br][br][b]Note:[/b] If you aren't signed in with your [i]GeoGebra[/i] account, you will be asked to log in.[br][br]Now you can give your file a title, choose if you would like to save your constructions as a template and edit the visibility.[br][br]You can also download your file offline on your device as a slides (.ggs), image (.png or .svg) or PDF document (.pdf). For this choose [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/5/5d/Menu-download.svg/24px-Menu-download.svg.png[/img] [i]Download[/i] [i]as[/i] from the [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/c/c8/Baseline-menu-24px.svg/24px-Baseline-menu-24px.svg.png[/img] [i]Menu[/i] and select the preferred format.
Save as template
It is possible to save a file as a template to reuse it for new resources.[br][br]Open the [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/c/c8/Baseline-menu-24px.svg/24px-Baseline-menu-24px.svg.png[/img] [i]Menu[/i], select [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/b/bb/Ic_save_black.svg/24px-Ic_save_black.svg.png[/img] [i]Save[/i] and give your file a title. Check the box [i]Save as template [/i]and select [i]Save[/i].[br][br][b]Note: [/b]General settings for the canvas and settings for the color or size of pen tools are saved in the template.
Open a template and create a new file
Open the [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/c/c8/Baseline-menu-24px.svg/24px-Baseline-menu-24px.svg.png[/img] [i]Menu [/i]and select [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/9/98/Ic_clear_black_48px.svg/24px-Ic_clear_black_48px.svg.png[/img] [i]Clear all [/i]to start a new file. [br][br]In a dialog window you get an overview of your created templates. Choose one of your templates and select [i]Create [/i]to start creating a new file based on your template. [br][br]You may also create a new blank file by selecting [i]Blank file [/i]and [i]Create.[/i][br][br][b]Note:[/b] When using a template, you create a new file. You don't overwrite the template file.
Open a file
Open a file by selecting [i]Open[/i] from the [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/c/c8/Baseline-menu-24px.svg/24px-Baseline-menu-24px.svg.png[/img] [i]Menu[/i]. [br][br]Search for an online file on [i]GeoGebra [/i]or an offline .ggs-file from your device to open it.
Share your file
Share your files with other users or your students by selecting [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/7/75/Ic_share_black_48px.svg/24px-Ic_share_black_48px.svg.png[/img] [i]Share [/i]from the [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/c/c8/Baseline-menu-24px.svg/24px-Baseline-menu-24px.svg.png[/img] [i]Menu [/i]or the [img]https://wiki.geogebra.org/uploads/thumb/7/75/Ic_share_black_48px.svg/24px-Ic_share_black_48px.svg.png[/img] [i]Share[/i] button in the header. [br][br][b]Note:[/b] You will be asked to save your file online, if you haven't done it before.[br][br]You will then get a sharing-link which you can send to your colleagues or students.
