Graphing Linear Equations (Slope Intercept Form)

The original idea for creating this applet comes from Steve Phelps' Graph the Line applet. [br][br]Directions:[br][br]1) Examine the equation shown on the right side of the screen. [br]2) Reposition the 2 big points so that the line is the graph of the displayed equation. [br]3) Click the "Check Answer" checkbox to check. [br] If you're correct, the applet will inform you. [br] If you're not, you'll know this as well. [br] If you're not correct, keep trying until you position the gray line correctly.[br][br]4) After correctly graphing the line, click the "Generate New Line" button.[br][br]Repeat steps (1) - (4) as many times as you need until you've mastered this concept.

Writing Linear Equations (Given Graph)

Students:[br][br]For the line displayed, write the slope-intercept form of its equation in the input box below. [br]For some problems, you may need to ZOOM OUT in order to see the black point on the line. [br]If you enter this equation correctly, you'll see a big "CORRECT"! text appear. [br][br]Repeat this exercise as many times as you need in order to master this concept!

Writing Linear Equation (Given Both Intercepts)

Students: [br][br]In the applet below,[br][br]1) Write the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line with the given intercepts. [br]2) If you enter in a correct equation, you'll see a big "CORRECT !!!" sign appear. [br]3) Repeat steps (1) - (2) as many times as you need in order to master this concept!
