    1.1.

Graphing Linear Equations (Slope Intercept Form)

The original idea for creating this applet comes from Steve Phelps' Graph the Line applet. Directions: 1) Examine the equation shown on the right side of the screen. 2) Reposition the 2 big points so that the line is the graph of the displayed equation. 3) Click the "Check Answer" checkbox to check. If you're correct, the applet will inform you. If you're not, you'll know this as well. If you're not correct, keep trying until you position the gray line correctly. 4) After correctly graphing the line, click the "Generate New Line" button. Repeat steps (1) - (4) as many times as you need until you've mastered this concept.

    Writing Linear Equations (Given Graph)

Students: For the line displayed, write the slope-intercept form of its equation in the input box below. For some problems, you may need to ZOOM OUT in order to see the black point on the line. If you enter this equation correctly, you'll see a big "CORRECT"! text appear. Repeat this exercise as many times as you need in order to master this concept!

Writing Linear Equation (Given Both Intercepts)

Students: In the applet below, 1) Write the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line with the given intercepts. 2) If you enter in a correct equation, you'll see a big "CORRECT !!!" sign appear. 3) Repeat steps (1) - (2) as many times as you need in order to master this concept!
