Juvy Lizette M. Gervacio
Director of the Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning of UPOU
Juvy Lizette M. Gervacio, PhD is the Director of the Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU). She is also an Assistant Professor and former Program Chair of the Master of Public Management Program of UPOU. [br][br]She has served as one of the Research Coordinators for the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) for Lifelong Learning and is also an External Collaborator for the International Training Center, International Labor Organization (ILO), on various capacity development programs for trade unions in Asia and the Pacific region since 2021. [br][br]She was a Visiting Scholar at Chulalongkorn University from July to September 2024, where she conducted a workshop on Learner-Centered Learning and research on AI.  Her research publication includes several journal articles and book chapters in Online Education, Lifelong Learning, Capacity Development, and Public administration.[br][br]Dr. Gervacio completed her PhD in Education and ICT (E-Learning) at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, and her Master of Public Management from the Universitat Potsdam in Germany.  She also obtained her Master of Arts in Demography and Bachelor of Arts at the University of the Philippines.
