The continuous function theorem for sequences

Let [math]\left\{a_n\right\}[/math] be a sequence of real numbers. If [math]a_n\longrightarrow L[/math] and if [math]f[/math] is a function that is continuous at [math]L[/math] and defined at all [math]a_n[/math], then [math]f\left(a_n\right)\longrightarrow f\left(L\right)[/math].
