Application: Modeling User Growth Pt. 1

In this activity we're going to model the growth of the number of users of the popular app Instagram in it's early years. In the data set below is plotted several publicly disclosed user headcount from the early years of Instagram. The first column is days since December 1, 2010 (the first available user headcount). The second column is user headcount. The data is plotted on the left. Just as we've done a few times now (modeling the length of the day and the traffic on Route 15 in Johnson, Vermont), highlight the data, open the Two Variable Regression Analysis tool. This time, however, select a Regression Model of time "Logistic". Copy the model to the graphics window.
Move on to the next activity to check your model.
