[b]Background[/b][br]Just what is an “angle?”[br]It turns out that geometers have a very specific definition for an angle.[br]This [i]GeoGebra [/i]activity will help you understand the geometer’s definition of angle.[br][br][b]Step 1.  Follow the Recipe[/b][br]Use the MOVE [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_move.png[/icon]tool to click in order on the recipe steps.[br][br][b]Step 2.  Experiment with the Angle[/b][br]Your angle is defined by the three points A, B, and C.[br]Use the MOVE [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_move.png[/icon]tool to drag these points about and observe the results.[br][br][b]Step 3.  Make Your Own Angle[/b][br]Use the MOVE [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_move.png[/icon]tool to click off all of the recipe steps and clear the work-space.[br]Use the NEW POINT tool [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_point.png[/icon]and the RAY THROUGH TWO POINTS tool [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_ray.png[/icon]to create your own angle by following the instructions in the recipe steps.
