In this applet you will investigate the solid of revolution that is formed by revolving about the y-axis the region bounded by [math]f(x)=x^2[/math], the y-axis, and the x-axis from x = 0 to 2. You will have the option to visualize the solid of revolution, an approximating element using the method of circular cross sections, and an approximating element using the method of shells.
