Activity 2.1a Addition of Integers (Integer Chips)

1) Use the[b] sliders to represent the two integers (addends)[/b]. There are separate sliders for positive chips and negative chips for each addend. Adjust the sliders to match the numbers you want to add.[br][br]2) After setting the chips, [b]enter the number of zero pairs [/b](a positive and a negative chip that cancel each other out).[br][br]3) Then, type your answer (the sum of the two integers) in the input box. If your answer is correct, a ✅ check mark will appear. If your answer is incorrect, a message saying "Try Again" will be shown.
