PRE-HEALTH_Force and Torque Acting on a Tooth

Instructions
This simulation represents the force and torque imposed by a bracket attached to a tooth.[br][br][b]Moving the tooth:[br][/b]Use points A and B to move the tooth around. A will translate the tooth and B will rotate the tooth about A.[br]The COR (center of rotation) of the tooth is shown as well.[br][br][b]Moving the bracket:[br][/b]The labeled bracket point represents where the force is being applied. It can be moved to any part of the tooth. The vector displacement from the COR to the bracket is represented by [math]\vec{r}[/math].[br][br][b]Applying force to the bracket:[br][/b]To change the force applied to the bracket, move the green dot at the end of the purple force vector [math]\vec{F}[/math]. The force will be represented by two components, [math]F_{\perp}[/math] and [math]F_{\parallel}[/math]. These are the components perpendicular and parallel (respectively) to the line between the COR and the bracket. These components can be shown or hidden with the "force components" checkbox. The green angle [math]\theta[/math] is between the COR, the bracket, and the direction of the force's application.[br][br][b]Showing numerical values:[br][/b]To view the magnitudes of the force, its parallel and perpendicular components, the angle and distance of its application, and the torque about the COR, check the "magnitudes" box.[br][br][b]Other settings:[br][/b]To show/hide the lines which are parallel/perpendicular to the COR-bracket axis, check/uncheck the "force lines" box. To show or hide the angle, check the "angle" box. For more clarity, the tooth can be hidden by unchecking the "tooth graphics" box.
