When using a 3D coordinate plane our coordinates are written as (x, y, z) where z is the "height" or the "up/down" (vertical) plane. [br][br]On the applet below, you can drag points A & B where you want them and then try to find their midpoint. Remember that the x-value of the midpoint can be found by taking the average (mean) of the two given x-values. Maybe you can extend that to the z-coordinates too...
Find the midpoint between (-3, -2, 0) and (1, 8, 5). Try using the midpoint formula and extending what you know about finding the x and y-values of the midpoint to the z-value.
