Move the slider to change the value of p.[br]You can see the effect of this by comparing the blue graph to the graph of x squared which is red.[br]Use the buttons to show the table - can you see why the graph changes in the way it does?[br]Turn "Trace On" - you will then see copies of the graph as you move the slider.
Examine the values of in the table as you move the slider.[br][b]Why does changing the value of p change the graph in this way?[/b][br]Some people think the graph should move in the other direction - try to understand what is happening.[br][b]Also note the connection between p and the axis of symmetry of the graph.[/b]
