We recommend letting your students practice using the Exam Mode prior to the actual exam day (e.g. during lessons or on homework).
Please make sure that your students know that leaving the full screen mode will trigger the alert.
Create "emergency protocols" for rare cases in which some mishap occurs during an exam. For example, students should tell the teacher immediately if the visual alert was triggered accidentally (e.g. student accidentally left the full screen mode) or if their device creates any trouble that interferes with the exam.
If your students are working on MacOS, please tell them to avoid starting the screen saver as this will trigger the alarm. Before the test it might be helpful to deactivate the screen saver or at least change the time for the start of the screen saver.
We strongly recommend you have all students active Exam Mode on their devices at the same time. [br][br]This allows you to [br]

have you and your students do the customization together, making sure that all students are working with the same exam settings (e.g. no CAS allowed in Classic).[/*]
make sure that no one can use their computer, tablet, or mobile phone for unauthorized actions (e.g. use the Internet or other software) prior to starting the exam.[/*]
see if any student tried to cheat by exiting the Exam Mode prematurely, visiting other websites not allowed during an exam, and re-entering Exam Mode. If a student does this, you will eventually see an Exam Details image with a later start time and shorter time duration. This clearly evidences the student left the exam window without permission. [/*]
We also recommend to hand out the exam papers after starting the Exam Mode on all devices. This makes sure that ...[br]

all students can start working on the assignments immediately after receiving the instructions.[br][/*]
all students have the same amount of time available for working on the exam.[/*]
students cannot consult unauthorized software or the internet after they have seen the assignments.[/*]
After leaving the Exam Mode the Exam Details are shown automatically. Teachers can do a quick check of the Exam Details on the students' screens.[br][br]When the Exam Details are shown they can be saved as an image using the appearing window that appears on computers and Chromebooks. In case of not saving, students can easily take a screenshot of the final Exam Details. The saved Exam Details can be sent to the teacher (e.g. for any teaching records).
