[b][code][/code]Teacher Guide [br]Grade Level: [/b]6[sup]th[/sup] Grade[br][b]Objective: [br][/b]M.6.5.1.5.2: Students will be able to add fractions.[br][b]Game Instructions: [br][/b]This game is a single-player game and about creating two fractions whose addition is equal to the given fraction. In the game, there is a coal miner called Bob and wants to collect silver, gold, and finally diamond. By creating new fractions, students help the coal miner reach his goal. [br] 1) There are 3 levels; easy, middle, and hard[br] 2) Each question is 10 points.[br] 3) In the easy level, it is required to create two fractions whose addition is equal to the given fraction  and students should answer 4 questions correctly to win the silver.[br] 4) In the middle level, it is required to create two fractions with different denominators whose addition is equal to the given fraction and students should answer 3 questions correctly to win the gold.[br] 5) In the hard level, it is required to create two fractions whose addition is equal to the given fraction with different denominators and none of the denominators is equal to the given denominator and, students should answer 3 questions correctly to win the diamond. [br][b]How teachers can implement the game in their lessons?[br][/b]Teachers can implement this game at the end of the fraction addition chapter or this could also be assigned as homework.[br][br]The suggested time is 25 minutes.
