Constructing Segment Bisector

In this activity we want you to use your compass and straightedge (line segment) to bisect the segment AB. [br]To prove that you have created a true bisector measure both sides of the segment and move the endpoints around to ensure both segments on either side of the bisector stay the same length. [br][br]Again if you get stuck, you can use the boxes to see the step by step solution. Only use this if you absolutely need it. [br][br]Written out Steps:[br]Step 1) Create a circle centered at point B with radius AB[br]Step 2) Create a second circle, this one centered at A with radius AB[br]Step 3) Find the intersections of the two circles and mark them D,C[br]Step 4) Create a line segment connecting to two intersection points (D,C) one above and one below the line segments AB[br]Step 5) Find the intersection of line segment AB and segment DC.
