Geometric Constructions

In this activity, you will be doing the same constructions you did with a compass and a straightedge but you will use technology (Geogebra) to perform your constructions.
#1 Copy a Segment
Copy a Segment
1) Using the Distance or Length tool, find AB.[br]2) Using the Point tool, construct point C.[br]3) Using the Segment with Given Length tool, construct a segment CD that is congruent to AB.[br]
#2 Copy an Angle
Copy an Angle
1) Using the Angle tool, measure angle CBA.[br]2) Using the Angle with Given Size tool, choose E then D and enter the size of angle CBA[br]3) Construct Ray DE'
#3 Midpoint/Bisector
Explore the available tools and use them to construct a line that bisects segment AB.
#4 Angle Bisector
Explore the available tools and use them to construct the angle bisector of [math]\angle[/math]ABC.
#5 Perpendicular Bisector
Explore the available tools and use them to construct the perpendicular bisector of segment AB.
#6 Line parallel to a Given line through a point not on the line
Explore the available tools and use them to construct a line parallel to line AB that passes through point C.
