Voluem of Pyramid ( Method I )

Pyramid
A pyramid is a polyhedron formed by connecting a polygonal base and a point called the vertex (apex). Each base edge and apex form a triangle.
A Regular Pyramid
A regular pyramid is a pyramid whose base is a regular polygon and whose lateral edges are all equal in length. A pyramid is named by its base:[br] eg, Triangular pyramid , Square pyramid, Hexagonal pyramid
Square Based Pyramid
A square based pyramid has a square on its base and four congruent triangle on each lateral face.
Volume of Pyramid= 1/3 Base area x Height
Let us take a cube of length a units . Also take center O of the cube. This center can be obtained by intersection of its diagonals.[br]In this intersection, there exist six pyramids whose vertex is at O, height is a/2 units and base is the face of cube.[br]Then,[br]6 x Volume of Pyramid = Volume of Cube[br] Volume of Pyramid = [math]\frac{1}{6}[/math] (Volume of Cube)[br] = [math]\frac{1}{6}[/math] (Base Area x Height)[br] =[math]\frac{1}{6}[/math] (Base area x a )[br] = [math]\frac{1}{3}[/math] (Base Area x [math]\frac{a}{2}[/math] )[br] = [math]\frac{1}{3}[/math] ( Base Area x Height of pyramid )[br]( Dear learner, तलको APPlLEt मा दिएको slider लाई चलेर हेर्नुहोला )
