Copy of Shulba Sutra and the Pythagorean Theorem

Is the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pythagorean_theorem#History]Pythagoras Theorem really attributable to Pythagoras[/url]?[br][br]Here is an application of the theorem from Indian geometry a few centuries before Pythagoras. The Shulba Sutra (circa 8th century BC) uses the relationship between the sides of a right triangle to convert a rectangle into a square of equal area [[url=http://xa.yimg.com/kq/groups/10599417/774225222/name/staal_geometry.pdf]Staal, [i]Greek and Vedic Geometry[/i], pp 117[/url]].
