Discovering Inverse Functions

Introduction
This Geogebra Activity helps you visualize the relationship between the graph of a function and its inverse function.[br]We know that a function's inverse "undoes" what the function does. For example if f(x)=2x-1, then f's inverse is (x+1)/2.[br]The graph of the function f(x) = 2x-1 is shown below. Use the instructions below to produce a graph of the inverse function.
Discovering Inverse Functions
Instructions for Activity
1) Drag the point A. [br]2) Show the point B by clicking on the circle next to the point B. What do you notice about the relation between the points B and A?[br]3) Drag the point A. What happens to the point B? This should produce a graph of the function f's inverse.[br]4) Show line a: y = x. What do you notice about the relationship between the graph of f(x) (green) and the graph of f inverse (purple)?[br]5). Change the f(x) and repeat the process.
