Cyclic Quadrilaterals (Grade 11 Euclidean Geometry)

Instructions

1. Using the circle tool draw a circle with a centre through a point.[br][br]2. Using the point on the circle as the first vertex, us the segment tool and draw a quadrilateral with all four vertices on the circle.[br][br]3. Use the angle tool to display the size of all four angles in the quadrilateral.

What do you notice about the sum of the angle which are on opposite vertices in the quadrilateral.

Instructions

1. Move one of the vertices of the quadrilateral to another point on the circle keeping the integrity of the cyclic quadrilateral.

What do you notice about the sum of the opposite angles:

Still is 180[math]^\circ[/math] The value of the angles do not change. The sum of opposite angles changes to a different value.
