Circumference is the same thing as...
[math]C=2\pi r[/math] (r = radius)[br][math]C=d\pi[/math] (d = diameter)
Complete Practice #1 and #2 on page 5. [br][br]For each question, answer two ways: with π and another as a decimal. Don't forget units![br][br]Check your answers with a table mate.
Which best describes arc length?
Arc Length = [math]2\pi r\cdot\frac{arc}{360}[/math]
On page 6, complete #3-5. [br][br]Leave [math]\pi[/math] in your answers and don't forget units!
Practice #4[br]Give 2 decimal places.[br]Don't forget units!
Practice #5[br]Leave [math]\pi[/math] in your answer.[br]Don't forget units!

There are two ways to measure angles in a circle. We already know about degrees. The other method is called radians. To convert them, use this equation:[br][br][math]rad=\frac{deg\cdot\pi}{180}[/math][br][br]If you are given degrees, that will replace "deg". If you are given a number with [math]\pi[/math], it will replace "rad".[br][br]Radian answers usually contain [math]\pi[/math] and are fractions.
Practice #1[br](Degrees -> Radians)
[math]\frac{\pi}{4}[/math]
Practice #2[br](Radians -> Degrees)[br][br]Your answer should look like:[br]# degrees
