Does Order Matter?
1. Describe a sequence of transformations that will take Figure A onto Figure B.[br]2. If you reverse the order of your sequence, will the reverse sequence still take A onto B?[br]3. Describe a sequence of transformations that will take Figure A onto Figure C.[br]4. If you reverse the order of your sequence, will the reverse sequence still take A onto C?[br]
GeoGebra Tools
You task is to move Polygon A. (Polygon B and C are locked)[br][br][u]To Translate[/u]: [br]1) Create a vector by clicking on [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_vector.png[/icon] and plotting two points[br]2) To translate, select [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_translatebyvector.png[/icon][br] a) Then click the center of Polygon A[br] b) Then click on the center of the Vector you created.[br][br][u]To Reflect:[/u][br]1) Create a line by on [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_join.png[/icon] and plotting two points (or just use the lines that are already drawn)[br]2) To reflect, select [icon]/images/ggb/toolbar/mode_mirroratline.png[/icon][br] a) Then click the center of the Polygon [br] b) Then click on the center of the Line
