shaped surfaces

You can use square bricks in a muqarna construction. They are functional but not very elegant.[br]So very soon, one went on to shape the cells in the muqarna, sometimes flattened, sometimes rounded. The result you can see in another modern building in Bukhara.

45° system
In the 45° system you can use squares, rhombuses and triangles to create a tiling as the base on which a muqarna can be constructed.[br]In it you can use a basic set of elements.[br]In GeoGebra I created macro's of these elements:[br]

Thicker lines mean standing sides.[/*]
Thinner lines with arrows mean ascendant lines.[/*]
In a muqarna construction the thicker lines aline the layers of the muqarnas.[/*]
In the construction you can follow arrows form base to the apex.[/*]
Muqarnas aren't limited to these elements and even not to this system. [br]Depending on time as well on region developpers used different systems. Always you can see the urge to push the limits. And often at the top supplementary elements are used to close the muqarna.[br]
