Toblerone Warm Up Modeling Question for Algebra, Geometry, AND Calculus!
Interact with the surface shown in the applet below. For this surface, cross sections parallel to the yAxis are equilateral triangles. Given this, author an upper function, lower function, and alter the domain of these two functions (by changing values a and b so that [math]a\le x\le b[/math]) to construct a virtual model of the Toblerone (shown above) that is BUILT TO SCALE. [br][br]After doing so, you can explore your resource in Augmented Reality (as shown in the screencast below) to test the accuracy of your model. When doing so, be sure to input the same parameters (on your phone or tablet) that you inputted in the applet below.
TO EXPLORE IN AUGMENTED REALITY:
1) Open up GeoGebra 3D app on your device. [br][br]2) Go to the MENU (horizontal bars) in the upper left corner. Select OPEN. [br] In the Search GeoGebra Resources input box, type dsbhqsbw[br] (Note this is the resource ID = last 8 digits of the URL for this resource.)[br][br]3) In the resource that uploads, zoom in/out if needed.[br] You can alter the functions upper(x), lower(x). [br] You can also move sliders a, b, MoveMe, and Filling.[br] (Be sure to leave everything else alone.)
