When reflecting a shape across a line, what aspects of that shape’s sides or angles change? What parts stay the same?
The segments that connect the corresponding points of a [b]preimage[/b] and [b]image[/b] (the dotted lines that appear), always seems to [b]intersect[/b] the [b]line of reflection[/b].  Describe the special type of intersection that occurs.
Observe the distance from a given point to the line of reflection.  Then, observe the distance from the corresponding reflected point to the line of reflection.  What do you notice about these distances?
Did seeing a grid make a difference in finding the reflected image? Explain why or why not.
