Use the toolbar to rotate, translate, reflect or dilated one triangle to map it onto the other. [br][br]The [b][u]MOUSE[/u][/b] button lets you select an object. [i]Always select the mouse button after using any tool on the toolbar.[br][br][/i]Select the [b][i]REFRESH[/i][/b] button in the upper left corner to reset the triangles.[br][br][b][color=#ff0000]DILATION[/color][/b] --> Click the [b][u]Dilate From a Point[/u][/b] button on the toolbar. Click on the [u]triangle[/u] you want to dilate, then the [u]point[/u] you want to dilate around. A box will appear to enter the scale factor. Type [b][u][i]ScaleFacto[/i]r[/u][/b] EXACTLY, then enter. If done correctly, the triangle should enlarge or reduce as you move the ScaleFactor slider.[br][br][color=#0000ff][b]ROTATION[/b][/color] --> Click the [b][u]Rotate about a Poi[/u][/b][u][b]nt[/b][/u] button on the toolbar. Click on the [u]triangle[/u] you want to rotate, then the [u]point[/u] you want to rotate around. A box will appear to enter the angle of rotation. Type [b][u][i]Angle[/i][/u][/b] EXACTLY, then enter. If done correctly, the triangle should rotate around the selected point as you move the Angle slider.[br][br][b][color=#93c47d]REFLECTION[/color][/b] --> Click the [b][u]Reflect about a Line[/u][/b] button on the toolbar. Click on the [u]triangle[/u] you want to reflect, then the [u]side[/u] of the triangle you want to reflect across. If done correctly, the triangle should reflect over the side of the triangle you selected.[br][br][b][color=#ff7700]TRANSLATION[/color][/b] -->[b][color=#ff7700] (STEP 1)[/color][/b] Click the [b][u]Vector[/u][/b] button on the toolbar. Click the [u]point[/u] on the triangle you want to translate, followed by the [u]point[/u] on the OTHER triangle you want to map the first triangle onto. (For example, click on point D then point A to translate point D onto point A). [color=#ff7700][b](STEP 2)[/b][/color] Click the [b][u]Translate by Vector [/u][/b]on the toolbar. Click on the [u]triangle[/u] you want to translate and the [u]vector[/u] you created in step 1. If done correctly, the triangle you selected should translate onto the other triangle.
