T3 Constructions

Instructions
1. This test is to be taken with your assigned group. Communicating with students outside of your assigned group (penalty: -2 points per infraction)[br] 2. Each student should complete all sketches below, on their own computer. [br] 3. Your sketches will be graded on:

a. accuracy (did they do what was asked)[/*]

b. robustness (do they pass the drag test?)[/*]

c. efficiency (don’t make hecka extra circles!)[/*]

d. style (Please measure relevant lengths, angles, etc). Color can make your sketch look good.[/*]
4. Each sketch is worth 10 pts. If you run out of time, you can work into break for (-1) pt.[br][br]Below are sketches that hint at the final answer. (The teachers hid the circles so you would not see the[br]methods.) Students should not hide any objects. Show all your circles and segments.[br][br]With your assigned groups & your notes (including Day 4 activities in Schoology), construct the following[br]using a compass (compass tool or circle tool) and straight edge (ray, line, segments) to plot points.[br][br]The items in RED are what you are given; you are restricted to the use of[br]compasses and straight edges until you arrive at the final answer. Then you will use the measure tool to[br]check that your construction is correct. The item in blue is what your final product should look like, but[br]I’ve erased the arcs you need to get there.
1. Given 2 side lengths that make up a given angle, construct a congruent triangle using side-angle-side.
2. Starting with a point floating above a line, construct a square.
3. Construct a 30-degree angle. Confirm with the measure tool.
4. Start with a short and a long segment. Construct a segment whose lenght is the a AVERAGE of the two given segment lengths. Confirm with the measure tool.
