Professor Diana Laurillard has been the Chair of Learning with Digital Technologies at UCL Knowledge Lab since 2005. She has extensive experience leveraging digital technologies to enhance learning experiences and broaden the accessibility of education.[br][br]Diana Laurillard earned her Ph.D. in 1978 from the University of Surrey, focusing on 'A Study of the Relationship Between Certain Cognitive and Contextual Factors in Student Learning'.[br][br]Prof. Diana Laurillard has received honorary doctorates from several universities, including an Honorary Doctor of Education from Edinburgh Napier University (2014), an Honorary DSc from the University of Brighton (2004), an Honorary DPhil from the Open University of the Netherlands (2002), and an Honorary DSc from the University of Abertay (1998).
Mingshun Xu is an aspiring young professional with over 5 years of experience working for UNESCO on education initiatives across developing countries. His passion lies in advancing UN Sustainable[br]Development Goal 4 focuses on enhancing access and equity in education for all.[br][br]Mingshun’s expertise extends to designing and coordinating professional development programs related to the digital transformation of higher education. He has successfully implemented these programs for university professionals in Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and Latin America.[br][br]In addition, Mingshun has contributed significantly to research and situation reports on the digital transformation of higher education in the same regions. His work provides valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by educational institutions in adopting digital technologies.[br][br]Notably, Mingshun has facilitated and managed Smart Classroom donations (each worth USD 70,000) from top Chinese IT enterprises. These donations have made a substantial impact in Mongolia, Nepal,[br]Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.[br][br]Furthermore, he plays a pivotal role in organizing a variety of national and regional events in a hybrid[br]formats, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among education professionals.
