In 17th century baroc architecture oval schemes are prominent.[br]As exemplary as the circular tempietto for the renaissance is the Sant'Andrea al Quirinale church by Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680). Bernini himself qualified this church among his most perfect works.[br]According to Sylvie Duvernoy the concept of this church is very unclear. The two remaining drawings show the church in a very early and in a late phase of the design proces and don't give a clear answer to the exact scheme. Therefore the construction in the applet below is just approximate.[br]
