Derivation of Sum Formulas for SIne and Cosine
This is the first proof of the sum formulas for the sine and cosine functions which was provided by Abu al-Wafa (Persia, 940 – 988). This was one of the contributions made to mathematics during the Islamic golden age which occurred between the golden age in Greece and European renaissance.
