Area under a hyperbola

This activity is intended as part of an initial exploration of the properties of the Log function and should be associated with an exploration of powers of 2. Students should explore the area under the function 1/(Log(2)*x) for x>0 by dragging the point A and see how the area from x = 1 to x = x(A) changes. For 0<x<1 the area will be negative. By associating the integral values with the powers of 2, the students should then consider intermediate values, leading to an appreciation of Log, initially presented in the context of integral powers relating an AP to a GP, as a continuous function.
