This applet allows students to explore changes to the scale factor and the center of dilation dynamically. It includes a rectangular grid for ease of comparing the side lengths in the pre-image to the dilated image. It also includes the distance or length tool to allow students to measure other side lengths and predict & confirm lengths in the image that are not aligned with the grid.
